Branding and Identity Design
The Orchard is a fine-dining vegetarian restaurant serving Indian cuisine.
Kena team was involved in brand strategy and design in collaboration with the two owners of the restaurant right at the beginning of their plan. Kena’s involvement began from suggesting a name to designing the identity and all the collateral items including signage, space graphics and Menu cards.
The name is referenced from the history of the location where the restaurant is situated. Now known as Sadashivnagar, the area used to be called Palace Orchards as the land extended from the King’s palace and was full of fruit bearing trees. The cuisine offered is North Indian Vegetarian, and the logo design, in response to this, draws its form from the Moghul gardens as depicted in Indian Miniature paintings.
